Diversity Monitoring & Outcome
Overview
Monitoring and analysis are used to help you to check whether your policies, operations and organisational culture are discriminating against any group and to help you determine the degree of progress you are making toward achieving your Equality and Diversity objectives.
Data collection is the first stage of the process and, typically, you will collect data about:
- The background of your workforce
- The background of the candidates applying to join your organisation
- Relative pay levels
- The diversity of your suppliers
- Internal policies, procedures and practices relating to activities such as training, promotion, and discipline for example - which can be analysed by diversity group.
Analysis of the data gathered through your monitoring processes will help you:
- To assess whether your policies and practices are fair and non-discriminatory
- To discover your employees’ views about the organisation
- To create and revise your diversity strategy and action plan - setting targets and timetables for change.
