The Equality Bill which is currently passing through Parliament hopes to streamline nine pieces of Equality legislation and to strengthen the law to support progress on equality.
The Equality Bill in its current form does present some core obligations for private sector employers. The increased prominence of equality issues in the public sector is already having a knock-on effect for businesses working in partnership with it.
